March 29, 2014 — Day two of the McDowell Mountain Music Festival gets going at 11 a.m. today at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix.

Visit Modern Times Magazine all weekend as Jeff Moses presents pictures and words live from the scene.

Today, Tempe based folk act Jared and The Mill will be opening the main stage at 11:30 a.m. followed by performances from Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Allen Stone, Dispatch, Slightly Stoopid, and a headlining performance by The Disco Biscuits. On the local stage Travis James and the Wretched Ones will begin the day, followed by a  drum circle. Then The Hourglass Cats, Carol Pacey and the Honey Shakers, and The Black Bottom Lighters.

The main stage will again open at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow with a performance by The Wiley Ones, The West Water Outlaws, Donna and the Buffalo, G. Love & Special Sauce, Dwight Yoakam, and headliners Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite will follow. The local stage will feature the Tommy Ash Band, a drum circle, Between Spaces, and the Guru Gods.

Yesterday, Sedona Ariz., based psychedelic desert-folk outfit decker. (sic) opened the main stage at 3:30 p.m. Also playing the mainstage was a mid-card that featured local Sara Robinson and The Midnight Special, jam band Lettuce, Pretty Lights Music participant Gramatik, and headliner STS9. On the local stage for day one of MMMF was Field Tripp, Avery, The Delta Fifths, and Spafford.
