Sept. 19, 2016 — Halloween is just around the corner! But if “just around the corner” isn’t quite soon enough for you, it is probably a good thing that you live in Arizona. Yes, Keen Halloween is coming back and this time, it is going to be at the Phoenix Convention Center.

For those of you who may not have yet heard, Keen Halloween is a gathering that brings together the vibe of a comic book convention but with everything that we love about Halloween. This year, Keen Halloween has partnered with Phoenix Comicon to help make the event bigger, better and spookier.

“Keen Halloween is a Halloween themed convention and maker’s faire that captures the best parts of your Halloween memories. Bridging the gap between horror-based conventions and child-focused events, Keen Halloween is an event providing entertainment, workshops, and one-of-a-kind vendors for a fresh take on Halloween to people of all ages,” according to Keen Halloween marketing.

Not only will there be plenty to check out and purchase in the exhibitor hall, but there is tons of programming scheduled for the entire weekend. Costume contests, Halloween themed workshops and makeup demonstrations are just a few of the things that attendees can look forward to. If you’re still on the fence, you can check out the full schedule of specific events for Keen Halloween at register.growtix.com/schedule/keen_halloween.

Outside of all of the fun the exhibitor hall and programming has to offer, Keen Halloween also represents a great opportunity for you to try on your Halloween costume before the big night! Or, if you were torn between a couple of different costume ideas, you can use this event as an opportunity to do both. Also, there will be plenty of guest appearances during the weekend from people like the Phoenix Ghostbusters and monster makers Steam Crow!

Passes for this year’s Keen Halloween are on sale now. Full event memberships are $25, with Saturday memberships available for $20 or Sunday memberships available for $15. As Always, children 12 and under are free with the purchase of an adult membership. Keen Halloween will be taking place on Sept. 24 and 25 at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. 3rd St., Phoenix.
