Nov. 8, 2019 —Before Tuesday’s election in Kentucky where unpopular Gov.  Matt Bevin lost a very close race to Democrat Andy Beshear, Donald Trump said something very interesting.

“If you lose, it sends a really bad message … you can’t let that happen to me,” Trump said.

Democrats picked up suburban support in Pennsylvania and Virginia, two states both political parties are watching closely as we move into the 2020 election.

The off-year races were held as House Democrats sped up their impeachment hearings of Trump over a phone call to the Ukrainian president this past summer. Meanwhile, the number of Democrats seeking the presidency is slowly but surely shrinking, and one contender offers a bold and controversial health care program. In connection with the 2020 election, social media giants Twitter and Facebook continue to stir debate about political ads (Twitter is nixing them). We’ll discuss these issues during today’s podcast.
